Description:

Welcome to my No-Merchant-Except-to-Upgrade-Case-Size-Kill-Everything Run. This is just a random challenge run I decided to do. I will be adding chapter-specific handicaps along the way to make the run a little more challenging. It's not really super hardcore, but it gives me something to record. ^_^ Overall, I was very happy with the village battle. I played that damn scene countless times trying to find a foolproof strategy that would fit the handicaps for this chapter. I found out that if you inch your way forward with ganados to your back, no one can hit you (at least no villagers, I'll have to check with zealots and soldiers later), no matter what weapon they have. I will definitely use this strategy later on. I allow myself to be grabbed from behind a couple times. The first time is to allow ganados more time to amass, the second time is to stun the closest ganados so I can turn around and grenade the group. Rules: -Professional difficulty -No deaths -No continue points -Normal costume -EVERYTHING must be killed, excluding friendly animals and snakes. The obvious limitation would be infinitely respawning enemies in specified areas. -No merchant interaction other than upgrading attaché case size is allowed. This means no buying new weapons, upgrading existing ones, selling treasures, or buying healing items. I can kill them if I feel like it, though. ;-) -Only the handgun and weapons that can be found are allowed to be used (shotgun and Broken Butterfly). -In the interest of saving time, the rocket launcher may be used on Verdugo. -Typewriter saves are allowed only at specified points. -No glitches may be abused -No eggs or fish may be used for healing -Only 3 full-heal items are allowed in the case at any time -No random crates, boxes, etc. may be exploited -Pesetas may be collected ONLY from enemies 1-1 Rules: -No helping the dog; go call PETA if you care that much =P -Both Salvadors must be killed -No handgun ammo may be used, other than on the grenade crow and the tripwire at the end -No more than 2 shotgun shells may be used -No healing during the village battle

I am relieved to see someone else noticing that Wii Edition has much less ammo and much more money that GC and PS2 versions. This video is, btw, amazing. I was just attempting PRO mode earlier tonight, and this village battle was dominating my soul. It was very painful. The villagers in PRO give fierce chase! You, however, dominated this shit so fucking skillfully!

I have it for the GC as well, and I gotta say, I love both versions. With the Wii Edition you can choose to play with the Wii controls or with the GC controller, which I do occasionally. There are also a few small differences that make it worth playing. There is a lot more money and a lot less ammo, which becomes pretty evident in this run. Plus you get Separate Ways, which is pretty fun. It's only $30, why not? =D

That was very sweet. The reason I don't really like speed runs is they never kill anything, but good job. Just a random question, is it worth it to buy RE4 for the Wii if I already have it for the Gamecube?
