Why is that unfair? If we need to reform our immigration laws, then we should do so. Just to pick some random and easy numbers, there is probably a provision in the current laws that allows 1 million immigrants per year, but there are perhaps 2 million immigrants per year who want to come in. __________________________________________________

The only way to immigrate is to be the descedent of an American or to fulfill a position for which there are not enough available Americans for. Despite our free market system, our standard of living is not much better than protectionist countries like France, Greece etc The reason is that the tentacles of inefficient and wasteful government are everywhere: foreign policy, wealth redistribution in the form of taxing productive members of society, broken social security, medicare, education, crazy subsidies, debt accumulation.
