Description: THE DREAM CATCHER IN THE RYE By Reid Baer I was stuck in my adolescence bright and lazy brimming in disrespect more clumsy really than intentionally cruel My parents thought I was slow to grow but I didn't know then what I know now about how horsin' around too much can just be too much and I was waylaid in motivating myself thinking it would have to be like a jockey with a whip on a lame horse So, I ultimately go into the office with a good suit on and telephone every freaking person I can think of 'cause I had played around long enough and it was time to go to work and that was just tough! As sorry as I was then I haven't really changed much through the years and now I can't shake the fact that I may have screwed up big time often mesmerized by a small parade of merry go round horses with a pole through each neck and one in my head ... slowly clearing this morning seeing it's true but not every bit See, my life isn't just cursed or strained like a madman going berserk It's also blessed somehow if there's any chance in heaven or hell there's a God out there or I'm in here ... Maybe this life My life is worth living still --------------------- ---------------------
