Description:
...His rich voice perfectly compliments his playing. It is rare to get a combination of superb guitar, stunning vocals & natural swing but with Ben Andrews you get just that ... He is without doubt the real deal." Ben was born in Yugoslavia. View the review at http://www.bluefrontbluesroom.org/Artist%20biogs%20A-C.htm The screams and whoops in the background through this whole thing(there was no audience mic, just intensly into it!) tell you this tune was a deep-groove, steady burner ...a REAL strong set opener and when the wait staff is letting you dance on the tables in a nearly empty club, IT´S A BALL! Ben's rippin' into the vocals and Hugh takes his solo to the sonic edge ...Ben wanted him to step out past that, but Hugh had made his statement with some sharp talking, so he just kicked it back to Ben, who mellows it down, then stokes it a little. Sorry if the recording looks a little funky(grainy). Its a transfer from a VHS and I don't know if the service I used for this did the best job on it. If anyone can recommend a good one...please do. I'm just learning about this kind thing. In answer to a question I got...yes, we did play up at Penn State College, Pennsylvania, once __great crowd! _tymjar If you like any of the country folk blues artists, whether Mississippi delta , Ragtime or Piedmont fingerstyle acoustic guitar greats... please give this a listen: George Harmonica Smith Big Walter Horton Little Walter Long John Baldry Mayall Paul Butterfield Carey Bell Junior Wells William Clarke James Cotton Howlin Wolf Charlie Musselwhite Junior Wells Jimmy Reed Slim Harpo Sonnyboy Williamson James "Peck" Curtis Bobby Blue Bland Harmonica Slim James Harman George Smith WILLIE JOHNSON WILLIE WALKER RAMBLIN' THOMAS DR.
